Lizeth Terrazas is an artist from Laredo, Texas based in Austin, Texas. Her primary line of work consists of, but is not limited to painting. Through her painting, she studies the human figure and the complex relationships that individuals hold with their naked bodies. She explores the idea and process behind sending nudes images to others via mobile device/technological means. In doing so, she is attentive to the control one has over the way in which they represent their body and how those decisions translate and affect the reading of the image. In the process of collecting images from others, Lizeth thinks about the vulnerability of being naked, and what being naked for oneself entails versus being naked for someone else.
